Phew finally one thing less from the wedding list - Food tasting. Yesterday was the food tasting for our wedding dinner with both our families. Rush home from work as mum say no need to drive so many cars there. Went home to change into some nice and comfortable before heading out again for the dinner.
Traffic on the way there was not too bad minus off the accident (just happen not long from the looks of it) we came across on CTE. Was there early, mum and the rest are still not there yet. Dinner started shortly around 7.40pm after mum, aunt Nancy etc reached. Bought a bottle of Chile - Merlot from Raymond (ex neighbour's younger son) to try out before ordering 2 crates from him for the wedding dinner.

Had lots of laughs during the dinner and we also discuss about the "Ping Li" for the wedding. "Ping Li" is the dowry for the bride & her family from the groom side. Mum also showed us the pull up banners which she got it done in China each about $10SGD. The banners are lovely and nicely done, King likes it too (but i have this feeling that our friends will definitely laugh when they sees it!).
Total there are 8 course and 1 surprise birthday cake (for mum) for the night. Menu consist of - Suckling Pig Combination, Braised Shark's Fin Soup with Fish Maw & Crabment, Chef Joe's Special Crispy Roast Chicken, Steamed Live Sea Bass with Soya Sauce, Pan-Fired Prawns in Butter & Garlic Sauce, Lingzhi & Black Mushroom with Seasonal Vegetables, Double Happiness Noodles with Assorted Meat, Red Bean Paste with Lotus Seeds and Durain Cake.

The food overall was great, hope it will be as great as it was during the wedding dinner. Made some comments for a few dishes like the Shark's Fin Soup was a little diluted, Sea Bass was abit fishy, Noodles too much MSG and change the Red Bean Paste kind of sweet (everyone agree it should be changed) to Mango Sago with Vanilla Ice-Cream (Yum Yum LOL I like).
